HALTER & SHOWMANSHIP
Required: Handler must show in proper English or Western attire.
Horse: Western - Halter; English - Halter or Bridle.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

HALTER CLASSES
Open to horses and ponies, of any age or breed. Horses all eligible to enter classes based on current sex and age as of January 1st of the show year. All Halter Classes are judged on balance, structural correctness, breed and sex characteristics, and degree of proper conformation and conditioning

SHOWMANSHIP
Open to all riders and all horses and ponies, of any age or breed. Exhibitors all eligible to enter classes based on current division status and age as of January 1st of the show year. Classes are judged on the Showman, the horse is merely a prop to show the ability of the Showman. Conformation of horse is not judged. Horse/pony may be shown in a halter or bridle. Placing are based on Appearance of Horse (A) Condition & thriftiness of coat , (B) Grooming, (C) Trimming and Appearance of Rider and Showing Horse in Ring (A) Leading, (B) Posing, (C) Poise, alertness and merits, (D) Proper execution of posted pattern.
